International Centre for Policy Studies (ICPS)

ICPS is one of Ukraine's top independent think tanks involved in developing and analysing public policy. Its mission is to promote reforms, democratic principles of government, and social transformations in Ukraine on the basis of European integration. ICPS specializes in such areas as democratic governance, foreign policy, economic analysis and energy policy. mediatEUr cooperated with ICPS in the development of the Ukraine Fact-Finding Mission.


Interpeace is an independent, international peacebuilding organization and a strategic partner of the United Nations. Interpeace's approach contributes to building lasting peace through inclusive and nationally-led processes of change. mediatEUr and Interpeace partnered for the development and implementation of the Ukraine Fact-Finding Mission.

European Institute of Peace

The EIP is an independent partner to the European Union and Europe, augmenting its global peace agenda through mediation and informal dialogue. The Institute pursues multi-track diplomacy and acts as a flexible, external tool in support of EU mediation efforts where the EU has limited freedom to act. mediatEUr was a key driving force advising the process for the setup of the EIP since 2010, and continues to cooperate with the Institute in the development of activities such as the roundtable on 'Creating a Common European Space for Peace'.

Nonviolent Peaceforce

Nonviolent Peaceforce fosters dialogue among parties in conflict and provides a protective presence for threatened civilians. With the headquarters in Brussels and an office in Minneapolis, NP peacekeeping teams are presently deployed in the Philippines, in South Sudan, Myanmar, and the South Caucasus. mediatEUr conducted a review of NP's work in Myanmar in 2014, and the two organisations continue exploring the promotion of non-violent peace work and mediation together.

EU-Russia Centre

The EU-Russia Centre is an independent information and expertise resource for anyone interested in modern Russia, its democratic status and the future of EU-Russia relations. It seeks to promote closer ties between the EU and Russia and to develop ideas about the future of the relationship. Together with the European Institute of Peace, mediatEUr and the EU-Russia Centre organised the 'Creating a Common European Space for Peace' roundtable, which explored opportunities for EU-Russia cooperation in mediation and peacebuilding.

European Centre for Electoral Support

ECES is a non-profit and non-governmental organization based in Brussels with a global scope. ECES promotes sustainable democratic development through the provision of advisory services and operational support in favour of electoral management bodies and national-regional-international organizations dealing with the implementation of the different steps of an electoral process.

Center for Peace Mediation

The Center for Peace Mediation, a joint research institute of the European University Viadrina and the Humboldt-Viadrina School of Governance, focuses on establishing and improving the practice of interest-based peace mediation through research; analysis, evaluation and consultation; as well as capacity-building.

Berghof Foundation

The Berghof Foundation is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organisation that supports efforts to prevent political and social violence, and to achieve sustainable peace through conflict transformation.


The Toledo International Centre for Peace (CITpax) is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to contribute to conflict prevention and resolution, and peacebuilding. CITpax assumes that the search for lasting peace involves the implementation of activities for social transformation, development and institutional strengthening.


The Mediation Program of swisspeace supports mediators and conflict parties in gaining knowledge and skills for effective dialogue processes and peace negotiations through research, consultancies, training and events.


The Institute for Research and Education on Negotiation (IRENE), founded in 1996 at ESSEC (non-profit organization; a higher education institution founded in 1907) pursues three missions: theoretical and applied research; fieldwork activities; and executive trainings on mediation and facilitation.

European External Action Service

The EEAS is the European Union's new diplomatic service. mediatEUr collaborates with the EEAS on policy advice and institutional support, as well as design and delivery of trainings for EEAS diplomats.

International Alert

International Alert is an independent peacebuilding organisation that works to lay the foundations for lasting peace and security in communities affected by violent conflict.
