EU policy advice to Georgia and its strategy for engagement

2010-2012

This assignment, funded by the European Union’s Stability Instrument, provides policy advice on conflict transformation to the SMR on Georgia's strategy for engagement. The work includes contribution to the development of an action plan, and its instruments. The team leader for this work is Dr. Antje Herrberg. Prof. John Packer and Prof. Dr. Dr. Rainer Hofmann are the main legal experts.This project was developed together with the former EUSR for the South Caucasus.

Evaluation of the Mediation Support Standby Team

2010-2011

mediatEUr, together with the Berghof Peace Support, worked on this tender by the Norwegian Refugee Council for the evaluation of the Mediation Standby Team. Dr. Oliver Wils from Berghof and Dr. Antje Herrberg from mediatEUr conducted the evaluation.

Intensive Introductory Course ‘Peace Mediation in the EU Context'

15 - 17 June 2011

mediatEUr, in partnership with Swisspeace and the Centre for Peace Mediation, designed and delivered a 3-day specialisation course on peace mediation to European External Action Service (EEAS) officials and EU Member State representatives. The pilot course was organised by the EEAS in collaboration with the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA).

Policy advice for the Irish Conflict Resolution Unit. Irish Government, Department of Foreign Affairs

2008

This assignment included policy advice on mediation, gender in international peacemaking and peacebuilding, and strategic work of the CRU. Antje Herrberg and Nick Killick worked on this assignment.

Training for EU Commission on international peace mediation

2009 and 2010

mediatEUr delivered two trainings to the European Commission in international peace mediation. Antje Herrberg, Laura Davis and Charles Crawford from ADR Ambassadors delivered the training programme.
