Cecilia Pellosniemi

Cecilia joined mediatEUr in October 2011. She currently supports mediatEUr's project on EU Policy Advice to Georgia and its Strategy for Engagement. Additionally, she is working on communications and outreach for mediatEUr.

Cecilia graduated recently from the Master in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies at the College of Europe. She wrote her thesis on the EU as a mediator in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Before this, Cecilia did her Bachelor studies in law, political science and international relations at University College Utrecht and Sciences Po Strasbourg.

Cecilia has working experience from the European Parliament, the Council of Europe, the Finnish OSCE presidency, the Finnish Foreign Ministry’s Political Department and the private sector. She has also been guest lecturing at University College Utrecht and SciencesPo Lille. Her interests include EU foreign and security policy, negotiation and mediation theory, the Middle East and the Balkans, international law and UN issues.
