About the Advisory Council

The Advisory Council supports mediatEUr's implementation of the European Institute of Peace project, launched in 2011. The informal Council includes 25 members, all experts in their respective fields including peace mediation, international relations, and EU affairs.

For the duration of the project, the Advisory Council provides strategic and operational guidance and inputs to the project. Advisory Council members work to:

1. Identify areas of competence and relevance for the future of EIP
2. Give critical input and substantial feedback on EIP materials aimed at creating building blocks for future EIP activities
3. Share information among members of the Council and with their extended
   network of contacts
4. Participate in EIP events and act as hosts when possible.
