Martin has a background in European affairs, and has specialised in the EU’s role as a humanitarian and social actor. He previously worked for the British Council on the development of EU-funded socio-cultural programmes in Northern Africa, as well as at the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organisation, a Brussels-based NGO which advocates on behalf of national minorities around the world.
He graduated with a Masters in EU International Relations and Diplomacy from the College of Europe in June 2015. His thesis explored the EU’s role in the fundamental rights of Roma communities in central Europe. He also studied European politics at Edinburgh University, in his native Scotland. At mediatEUr, Martin supports all of our projects and helps us maintain our online presence.
